   SEO Typical Campaign Plan

Stage 1 - Analysis & Development

  • Technical Analysis

  • Keyword Concept Development & Analysis

  • Content Analysis

  • Planning Link Strategy

The aim of Stage 1 is to define the state of the website from all the SEO perspectives, while establishing the best competitive and long tail keywords to optimise and identifying content opportunities that will support the SEO campaign plan.

From here the link building strategy can be properly planned to encompass the most beneficial combination of link types.

Stage 2 - Technical SEO

All technical SEO issues which need improvement will be addressed before proceeding onto the other aspects of the SEO Strategy Campaign Plan.

These could include issues such as:

  • Is the code your page is developed with in a format that is easy for the Search Engine Spiders to read?
  • Does your website contain meta keyword and description tags optimized with your target keywords?
  • Does your page include a good page title, H1 and other headers, do the pictures have alt tags?
  • When your pages were optimised was this done with the correct keyword traffic research?
  • Is the content of your target pages keyword optimized without over doing it on the density of the keywords?
  • Do you have enough content on  your pages?
  • Are the URLs of your pages descriptive of their content? For example http://www.great-shoe-store.com/nike-shoes.html.
  • Are the in site and outgoing links on your website using your keywords in the link?

There are a few advanced technical things we need to keep in mind such as Canonical Issues. If the inside links on your site are written in several ways such as http://www.yoursite.com, http://yoursite.com or http://www.yoursite.com/index.html it can cause the Search Engines to view these as seperate pages. Also if you have a Content Management System it may display duplicate content through separate navigation which can hurt your chances of those pages being displayed by the Search Engines.

Although there are many factors involved with technical SEO, some of which can be beyond our control (such as the age of the domain name), as long as we have covered the issues above your website will be in good technical shape.

Stage 3 - Creative Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) & Ongoing Development

Creative SEO is the practice of expanding upon the core of the website for SEO purposes.

This could include further development of:

  • Keywords

  • Content

  • Blogs

  • News/Articles

Stage 4 - Link Building - Ongoing Development

A creative, conversion orientated link building plan will be designed around a combination of core competitve keywords and longtail keywords.  This will take into account a family tree of keywords related to your products or services.

What is meant by a keyword family tree is taking the core competitive keywords and mushrooming out from that into variations on this keyword theme, some of which will be longtail keywords.
The advantage of this is that as we build strong incoming links for "bridal silver jewellery" and "unique silver jewellery", the core competitive keyword - "silver jewellery" is being optimised as a knock on effect, on top of the incoming links that are being actively built for "silver jewellery."

Links are built by article posting to quality websites creating relevant, strong incoming links with good anchor text.

These incoming links will come from category relevant article sites, PR sites and very importantly social media sites.

Stage 5 - Monthly Reporting

Each month you will receive monthly reports to show the ongoing work and the progress.

These reports will include updates on links being built and ranking on the search engines.

SEO takes time to take effect but it is a good investment.
